Summary
The JHF Grants Manager works directly with the Executive Director, Advancement Services to successfully raise funds through private and corporate foundations in support of programs and strategic initiatives of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit grant and donor proposals to secure funding from various sources
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities in alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepare financial reports and budgets for grant applications and stewardship reports.
- Works with stewardship department to properly recognize funders.
- Collaborate with development staff and key stakeholders to align project goals with funding opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Prepares all documents, exhibits and supporting material for grant submissions.
- Maintains files of all grants, including award notices, correspondence and reports.
- Manages all activities relating to grants and contracts including supervision of grant accountants.
- Carefully monitors utilization of grant funds and provides continuous oversight of grant compliance.
- Collaborates with other foundation staff in fundraising activities and events as required.
- Perform all other unit specific related job duties as assigned.
Experience
Generally requires 3 to 5 years of experience in a nonprofit environment, and at least 2 years of grant-related responsibilities. Verifiable administrative experience and project management experience preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
Credentials
Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
